Today most of the people have learned to live with the corona virus. Its heartening to see most of the people are taking some kind of herbal mixture to strengthen their immune system. This has helped most of us fight with not just corona but many other kinds of viruses and bacteria. I hope we all continue this habit even after this pandemic is over.
Today what forced me to write this blog is the increasing degradation of health in the post covid patients.
As we know, this corona virus attacks our respiratory system. Due to this our oxygen levels in the blood gets reduced drastically. Oxygen is essential for our metabolism. Without oxygen, the cells start dying. The heart has to work harder and harder to make oxygen reach all places in the body. The heart rate goes up up and up. But how long will this heart do the overtime?
As discussed above, without proper oxygen, the cells will start dying and our organs will become weak. And slowly it may lead to multi organ failure. This gets complicated in people who already have metabolic, respiratory and circulatory issues. They need to be extra careful. We all must do more deep breathing exercise to keep our respiratory system healthy. But it should be done slowly and steadily.
Here i must discuss a case from a remote area Barharwa of Jharkhand. Here most of the villagers were having flu like symptoms and tastelessness and dry cough. Most of them having moderate to high fever. With no testing facilities available and away from media coverage, they were all left to defend them self. I have few patients their and i had advised them to keep on taking the immune boosting herbs along with lots of sunlight and their medicines. They took the advise seriously and passed on to all of their near and dear ones. I was particularly worried about one of my patient who had uncontrolled diabetes.
